Nora Stephens is a multi-city based artist currently living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In Rio, she has shown her work at Rampa, Lugar de Criação and as part of the art shows, Ocupação and Contrabanda. Her dance works have been presented in NYC at the 92nd St. Y, The Brooklyn Museum, in DancenOw/NYC, at Movement Research at the Judson Chuch, Dixon Place, Mulberry Street Theatre, Dance SpaceCenter (now DNA), Construction Company, Chashama and AUNTS at BS248 among other venues. Her dances have also been performed at Los Talleres and the UNAM in Mexico City, Mexico, the WUK and Saprophyt Gallery both in Vienna, Austria.

Stephens video works have been screened/ installed at the Brooklyn Public Library and at AUNTS at BS248 in Brooklyn, NY, the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC, Le Quinto Festival Internacional de Video Danza in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and at the Garrison Art Center in Garrison, NY.

In 2000, Stephens received her BS in Dance with a Certificate in InterArts and Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in 2008 she completed her MFA in Dance as part of the the Hollins University/ American Dance Festival program.
